Thankful for Faith
November is the month of giving thanks in the United States. At the Jesus Lives ministry all of us take time to be thankful for our friends, family, and especially those of us who gather to worship when we can.
This month is exciting for me because it reminds me of coming full circle. Going from a past of buying expensive and unnecessary things to impress those around me, acting in ways that do not please the Lord, and not recognizing all that He does for me, to using specific time to revere and worship Him. I truly have been able to understand my place in this world and what I was meant to do.
That being said, I’m so thankful for my family and loving wife, the people that come to worship with me, those who help out around the church and the Lord our savior Himself. Without Him, I would not be able to understand how much He has truly impacted my life.
I’m thankful for the Lord because He has given me my faith and the means to teach others the blessings and messages He’s given me. As I eat with my family and friends on Thanksgiving, I like to take the time to reflect on what I’ve worked for but most importantly how God has helped me accomplish these things.
Always keep working to understand the ways of the Lord. His work is beyond what we can understand but we can be thankful that He has so gracefully lifted these things above us.
